There are a lot of great organizations close to my heart and because of my own good fortune, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to support them—especially the ones that aid our troops and veterans. One of my favorite nonprofits is The United Service Organization (USO), which works to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their time of service. For the past 77 years, the USO has stood by the brave men and women who serve in the U.S. military, from their assignments and deployments to when they come back home to their families.
The USO offers programs, entertainment, and services at more than 200 USO centers worldwide, in places like Afghanistan, Kuwait, Germany, Italy, Japan, Iraq, and South Korea. Through initiatives focused on creating connections, the USO builds and maintains strong bonds between service members and their families. As the son of a former Army commander, I can tell you first hand just how important this kind of connection is, which is why I am so passionate about it.
