I love it when the weather on the East Coast starts to warm up and the city begins to bloom (my boy Enzo loves a good stroll through Central Park), but right about now, I’m trying to be grateful for the presence of a good, old rainy day—you know what they say about the power of April showers. Since you all know that I let music inspire me nearly every minute of every day (except when I’m asleep), you might have guessed that I have the perfect playlist for spending the day inside. It’s music I can just hunker down with while the rain falls outside the windows and I have no place to go. So, I say, let the rain fall: My “Rainy Day” Playlist includes everything from New Edition’s R&B hit “Can You Stand The Rain” to Adele’s pop ballad “Turning Tables” and even some heart-melting soul courtesy of the legendary Teddy Pendergrass, too.
I know everyone has a song that turns a rainy day into a good thing. What are your favorites? Tweet me at @michaelstrahan with your picks.
