Anyone who’s read my book Wake Up Happy or who follows any of my playlists on Spotify knows how much music means to me. It’s a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me from the moment I wake up in the morning to the moment I sit down at the end of a long day. With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of the songs that always get me into the holiday spirit each season and I want to share them with you.
Like most of my music, the songs on my Holiday Playlist run the gamut from new versions of classic songs, like Johnnyswim’s “The Christmas Waltz” and “White Christmas” by Michael Bublé and Shania Twain; to old favorites including José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”; to Run-D.M.C.’s “Christmas in Hollis.” I think it’s the perfect playlist to put on whether you’re decorating the tree with family, exchanging gifts with friends over drinks, or settling in to enjoy a long winter’s nap after snacking on too many Christmas cookies.
I know everyone has a go-to holiday song. What are your favorites? Tweet me at @michaelstrahan with your picks.
