Well, it’s finally here: the official launch of my new Denim Collection. I’ve had a great team of people helping me build out this line—a special shout-out to Eric Goldstein from the Jean Shop New York who made this all possible—and the process was intense. But I loved every minute of it. The driving force around this collection was to create a pair of jeans that would perfectly compliment a blazer or jacket, because when I’m not fully suited up on camera (or working out in sweats) I like to keep my look clean, classic, and ready for anything.
When I build a product, I like to get my hands dirty, so I asked a million questions about construction and fit. I looked at a ton of fabrics and 40 different wash types, thousands of thread colors, lines and lines of metal trim and hardware colors, logos and artwork for the leather loop on the waistband, you name it. From there, Eric worked with us to decide what we liked best … and then made us narrow it down again (which was so hard because it all looked so great). My most important criteria: Will my friends want to wear it?
The short answer: Yes. And the versatility of the denim is the key: Whether you’re dressing those blues up with a Collection by Michael Strahan blazer and button down for a meeting, or keeping your look low-key with an MSX polo and bomber for drinks with friends, the line offers six different washes, five pant styles, stretch in the fabric, and one great fit so any guy can find his perfect pair of jeans (and let’s not forget about the classic denim jacket, too). My favorite part about this addition to my clothing lines is I feel like we’ve really created our own lane in the fast-paced world of denim. Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think.
