Travel Diary Entry: Mykonos, Greece with October Gonzalez

Name: October Gonzalez
Occupation: Cohost/Dj on Beat Shazam on FOXWhat I’m Listening To On The Plane:  Chill music like, Kiiara, Zella Day, or Chill Loungers Radio on Pandora. Anything that puts me in a relaxing chill mood.
My “Go-To” Plane Movie:  I love a good 80’s movie like, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Pretty in Pink,” “The Goonies,” “Trading Places,” “Fast Times.” You get the idea!
Favorite Food/Snack For The Plane:  Salted Almonds, Kind Bars, and the good ole cheese and fruit plate!
The Best Meal I’ve Ever Had While Traveling:  In San Sebastián, Spain at this AMAZING tapas bar called Borda Beri (order The Ravioli and the Kebob!).  San Sebastián is one of the best places to eat in the world!
Best Travel Hack:  My best travel Hack is to roll all your clothing so you can fit more outfits! Also I always take an extra empty carryon for purchases you want to bring home!
Most Memorable Vacation Spot:  My most memorable vacation was in The Atlas Mountains of Morocco. My husband Tony and I stayed at one of Richard Branson’s Hotels called Kasbah Tamadot for our 10 yr. Anniversary. We had dinner with a view of the Atlas Mountains and watched “Casa Blanca” on Moroccan beds outside on a big screen. It was hands down thee most magical night of my life. Major husband points for that one!

My favorite vacation I have ever been on is Mykonos Greece! We went in the Summer and the weather was perfect that time of year,  hence how crowded it is!

Favorite Thing To Do There:  My favorite thing to do in Mykonos is go to the many gorgeous beach clubs and restaurants. (I love to eat!) My favorite beach club is Nammos, and my favorite place for late lunch, amazing view, cocktails, and music, is Scorpios.
Where To Stay:  We stayed at The Belvedere Hotel which was very Chic and trendy. You can’t really go wrong in Mykonos. Most hotels have a gorgeous view!
Where To Eat:  One of our favorite restaurants in Mykonos is Spilia. It’s on the water and the Seafood is Beyond fresh and delicious!
What To Pack:   Always pack a great SPF for your face, leave in conditioner for after the sun, face moisturizer, and a good probiotic!
Secret Spots:  Maereio is an amazing authentic family owned Greek restaurant and is absolutely delicious! A MUST for some local vibes and fantastic food.
Most Memorable Part Of The Trip:  The most memorable moment of our trip to Mykonos was an evening we were with all of our friends…  We went to Scorpios and had dinner, watched the sun go down on the ocean, and danced the night away! For a minute you almost forget about real life and all the responsibilities you have back home! Almost!
Dream Vacation Spot You Haven’t Visited Yet:  A dream vacation spot for me would be Bali… I have always dreamed of going there! I love the idea of waking up with an ocean view, walking to a yoga class, riding a scooter through the city, and eating all the native foods! I imagine it being a very spiritual place full of culture.  I love that.
Location Of  Your Next Planned Trip:  Our next trip will probably be Cabo San Lucas Mexico. We love going to Cabo and bringing all the kids because it’s only a 3 hour flight from LA, has amazing weather year round, and let’s face it, because Mexican food.

I Hope this helps when you’re booking your next ticket!
